On Saturday, January 3, 2026, the Kewa TRUTH Youth Council demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship through the “Keep Kewa Beautiful” initiative. A dedicated team consisting of five youth members and two advisors successfully cleared a 1.41-mile stretch of roadway, beginning at the NM-22 junction in Santo Domingo Pueblo and concluding at the Wa-di trails trailhead.

The cleanup effort was highly productive, resulting in the collection of 13 bags of refuse totaling approximately 125 lbs. This project highlights the council’s ongoing dedication to maintaining the cleanliness and natural beauty of our community lands.
